When you're really in love with something it's a total firework display, it's a supernova of creative explosions. You write things down and you cut things out, and then you're channelling it all into one view through a camera."
"A camera is a black box.
And in that black box, there's a mirror.
And that mirror flips up for a millisecond and leaves it's imprint on a piece of film.
I think the notion of the mirror is so vital to the photography.
You have to be very honest about what moves you because it will reflect in that picture, and that picture will just float down the stream of nothingness.
You have to mean it.
And if you don't mean it, you'll get called out."
