Photographer David Bailey and model Jean Shrimpton were chosen to go to Manhattan New York to shoot a spread for British Vogue.

The concept: Young Idea Goes West.
At the time, Youth Culture was in the throws of untethering itself from the rigid ways of the 1950's.
But Bailey came with his free thinking, modern photography techniques and a fresh new face... Jean Shrimpton.
With the concept of the young, travelling and having an idea... this photoshoot is one of my all time favourites.
With humor, a touch of sarcasm and inventive perspectives in every frame... Bailey and Shrimpton broke the mould and began to pave a way for modern thinking and youth culture.
